Sometimes all one needs is a miracle. But sometimes there are those who are not fortunate enough to experience it.
I would like to share with you EIGHT amazing, tear-jerking stories of unfortunate people getting their FINAL wish.

The dying wife who asked for her husband who beat her up to be free from jail

A Californian man serving a sentence for assaulting his wife was released recently because of the dying wish of his wife. His wife was diagnosed with terminal cancer and all she wanted before she died was to spent her remaining days with her husband.


The 5-year-old who dreamed of singing to Simon Cowell before dying

Bethany Fenton, 5 years old, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2009. Her wish was to sing for Simon Cowell.And yes, her wish was granted.
“Simon let me sing ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' to him. He's so nice and I love him.” 

Bethany passed away three days later.

The six-year-old girl who wanted to leave love letters to her parents

When 6 year old Elena Desserich was diagnosed with brain cancer, she began hiding hundreds of little love notes for her parents to find after she was gone. The doctor told her that she had around 135 days to live. She lived for 225 days, passing away in 2007. After her death, her parents found hundreds of notes from Elena hidden everywhere - in between CD cases, between bookshelves, in drawers, in backpacks.
 "It just felt like a little hug from her, like she was telling us she was looking over us".   
They published her notes in a book called Notes Left Behind to fund for a non-profit organization, The Cure Starts Now, dedicated to fighting pediatric brain cancer.

The woman who wanted to get married as her final wish

Maire Taomia was diagnosed with gastric cancer, and so it happens that her dying wish was for her father to give his blessings for the marriage.When the doctor told her there was nothing more that they could do, she told her father,
"I want to get married."
 CanTeen, the Cancer Society of New Zealand and Christchurch's Millennium Hotel covered the costs of a wedding cake,wedding dress, a limousine, a photographer and a hotel room for the couple's honeymoon.

The dying boy who helped feeding the hungry


Brenden Foster was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2005. His last wish was to feed the homeless. He said he wanted to be an angel so he could help the homeless from Heaven. His story inspired many and caught the attention of the national and international media.
He passed away on November 28 2008.The Seattle Seahawks NFL franchise paid for Brenden's funeral.
The 100-year-old woman who got her degree a day before dying

     Harriet Richardson Ames' dream was to earn her bachelor's degree in education. She finally reached her target three weeks after celebrating her 100th birthday.The day after she received her diploma by her bedside, the retired school teacher died, pleased that she had accomplish her goal.

The dying girl who wished to see Pixar's ‘Up'

Colby Curtin got her final wish. This 10-year old girl desperately wanted to see the new Pixar movie, Up. Unfortunately, she was too sick to go to the cinema. So a family friend contacted someone at Pixar to see if they could help. The next day, Pixar flew in an employee with a DVD version of the film. Colby and her family all watched the movie. She died 7 hours later. 
The teenage girl who wanted to go to her homecoming dance and died 3 days later

Brett Marie Christian, 15, had leukemia and the prognosis was not good. She was dying, but before she died, she wanted one last dance. Unfortunately, she was too sick to go to the Homecoming Dance. So her classmates made her wish come true by bringing the dance to her.She was crowned homecoming queen that night and died three days later.

I don't wish to be everything to everyone, I would like to be something to someone.
